2021/2022 COVID-19 Food Hamper Program

July 7, 2021

Manitoba Inuit Association & Ikayuqtiit are happy to announce that the COVID-19 Food Hamper Program will continue in 2021-22 for Inuit living in Manitoba.

We are grateful to have received funding from Indigenous Services Canada's Indigenous Community Support Fund as well as Pauktutiit Inuit Women of Canada and the Graham C. Lount Family Foundation so, we may continue to provide support during these difficult times and assist the Inuit families in Manitoba who have been impacted during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Jenelle Sammurtok, MIA COVID-19 Program Coordinator, will be connecting with Inuit who were enrolled in the last year's hamper program to update your contact information. And we welcome Inuit who weren't accessing the program last year and would like to receive this support now.

The MIA hampers will now include Educational items for youth. Jenelle will reach out to the families and will provide age appropriate items to your children (infant, toddler, youth, teenagers) throughout the hamper program.

If you would like to enroll, or inquire in the COVID-19 Food Hamper Program please contact Jenelle by email jenelle.sammurtok@manitobainuit.ca or phone 204-774-6848.
