Annual General Meeting letter to members from President Fred Ford

On behalf of the board of directors of the Manitoba Inuit Association (MIA), I am pleased to invite you to attend our 2019 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Featuring a book signing by Gerald Kuehl, author of Portraits of the Far North, which is a compilation of 106 Inuit Elders from the Kivalliq communities of Nunavut! An autographed book is available at a discounted rate of $35 per book.

Please come and add your voice to the future direction of our expanding organization.

If you are 16 years of age or older, identify as being Inuit, and have lived in Manitoba for 3 months or longer, you are an "Active member" and as per the MIA by-laws you are eligible to vote on all motions presented at the AGM. All other members are "Associate members" and are also invited to attend the AGM to discuss the organization's future.

When: November 24, 2019 2:00pm
What: Approve Financial statements, review highlights from the past year, talk about next year, elect new board members.
** Active members are invited to vote for board of directors, approve the 2018-2019 financial statements.
