Finding a job is never easy, especially when in a new environment. Things to consider when looking for work include:

Be sure you have all the identification required for a job. This may include your birth certificate and driver’s license.
Learn to write a good cover letter and resume. This can be learned at places such as the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development (see contact information below) and Osborne Village Resource Centre.
Check the internet, newspaper and job banks for work. This should be done on a daily basis and you should expect to apply for several jobs a day.
Learn to speak with confidence and clearly when at an interview. The first impression leaves a lasting imprint. The resource centres listed below can help you with this.
